The Jersey Herd
Established in 2002 from three different herds
- POYER herd – Cornwall
- PITTHALL herd - Hampshire
- CAMROSE herd – Jersey Island
Premier Cattle Health Scheme
The cows are monitored under the Premier Cattle Health Scheme whose objectives are:
- To eliminate specific diseases from cattle herds.
- To identify herds free from specific diseases and to provide breeding cattle of certified health status.
- To monitor changes in disease status to allow timely control or preventative action to be taken.
Freedom Food
The herd has followed strict freedom food guidelines since establishment. This is an independent organisation set up by the RSPCA to raise standards of farm animal welfare. This gives a credible assurance you can trust.
