School Visits
We are members of Farms for Schools and LEAF
We are currently trying to gain links with as many local schools as possible . We are happy to link visits with curriculum and work together to produce suitable material.
Cow to Cone Experience
Trips can be varied to suit the age of the group and educational requirements. We can fulfil learning objectives in dairy farming, conservation, the milk process and dairy products. We offer this facility free to pre-booked groups provided ice cream is purchased for the children.
Suitable footwear must be worn.
Guides ,scouts WI groups etc
Trips can be arranged in the evenings when you can use the permissive walk to obtain badges of just enjoy the views.
Letter from Wingate Community School
After discovering ‘Archer’s’ last weekend we were absolutely delighted not only with the ice-cream and coffee, but also the whole environment — the animals and their wellbeing, the cleanliness of the place and the staff, that we rang, at very short notice to ask if we could organise a visit for our young children at school. Thanks to you — they too were able to experience Archer’s, absorbing the sights, sounds, smells and tastes!
Thank you for being so accommodating and understanding of the needs of our youngsters. You have made a big difference to their understanding of what a farm is all about.
